Welcome to the CC Strikers Football Club!
Collaroy Cromer Strikers Football Club (CC Strikers) is one of the largest football clubs in the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) district. The Club is committed to promote and develop football (soccer) for all its members (from Under 6's up through sub-junior and junior ranks, into senior ladies and men's competition and through to over 35s divisions). The club is experiencing growth in all ages but especially in the Under 6's, ladies teams in all age groups and over 35s (both men's and ladies). Players in the Club range from ages six to 60!
CC Strikers is now one of the 17 clubs associated with the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA). The MWFA cover clubs all over the northern beaches, ranging from Mosman to Avalon. We now field 100 plus teams in competitions organized by the MWFA. Based in the suburbs of Collaroy and Cromer, but also incorporating Long Reef, Cromer Heights, Collaroy Plateau and areas of South Narrabeen, the Strikers origins go back beyond its formation at the beginning of 1995, when the Collaroy Plateau Soccer Club and the Cromer Strikers Soccer Club merged. Operating as a division of the Collaroy Plateau Youth Club from 1995, the Strikers became incorporated in its own right as of September 2003.
As some of you may already be aware, our main home ground, St Matthew's Farm, has recently undertaken development with a new clubhouse being built. To raise funds for the project, it was decided to start a six-a-side summer competition. The first six-a-side competition was held in 1998 at St Matthew's Farm, and we had approximately 200 players. Sixteen years later the six-a-side competition attracts over 1200 players and has moved grounds in that time from St Matthew's Farm to Plateau Park, to Cromer Park, to James Morgan, and now currently the synthetic field at Cromer Park. After 16 years of hard work by several members of our present committee and past committee members we were able to contribute the necessary funds, and the clubhouse has been completed. The official opening of the clubhouse was held on the CC Strikers Presentation Day on Sunday the 3rd September. It was opened officially by Lou Caruso and Phil Auton, who are ex committee members and life long members of the club.
After my first year of presidency, I would like to personally thank all of our highly dedicated volunteers who devote a lot of time into making sure that all of the players have an enjoyable and successful season at our club.
Welcome all new and existing members to another year of football with us.
We look forward to working with you all this coming season!
Anthony Pollard
President
