Injuries & Football NSW Insurance
All players are covered by insurance provided by Football NSW. Comprehensive information is available HERE.
If a player is SERIOUSLY injured during a game (or at training) and is admitted to hospital an ACCIDENT REPORT must be submitted within 48 hours of the injury occurring.
NOTE: This does not include being taken to the Accident or Emergency dept. of the hospital and allowed to go home.
The accident report is only to notify Gow-Gates (the insurer) and Strikers that you have sustained a serious injury. It is NOT a claim.

Note: - Be aware that items coverered by Medicare cannot be claimed whilst some items such as physiotherapy require a referral from your doctor before commencing treatment.

Do not wait until your treatment has concluded before lodging your claim.
Government legislation prevents reimbursement of Medicare costs including the Medicare Gap.
